I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
